Over thirty courses are available, offering extra practice for Macmillan course books as well as general, business and academic English, and exam preparation. MPOs cater for exam practice, general, business and academic English.The courses are ideal for institutions looking to offer a blended-learning approach, combining face-to-face classes with online materials. MPO can be used for pre-course preparation, for homework and reference during a course, or for consolidation of learning outcomes at the end of a course. MPO is also the ideal solution for students who want to do further independent study to reinforce their classroom learning.

3 What are the minimum system requirements for Macmillan Practice Online?
A: MPO can be used on a PC or Mac that has:

- an operating system of Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.4 or more advanced
- a browser that is Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 2.0 or more advanced
- processing power at least equal to a Pentium II 333 MHz
- memory at least equal to 128Mb
- a color screen with an optimum resolution of 1024 x 768
- Flash 8 or later
- Adobe Reader 5 or later
- the ability to play sound
- a broadband internet connection capable of 500+ Kbps is recommended
